The World Cup Caraqueno Juan Jose Martinez allowed Venezuela to win his second medal of the XVI Senior - X ITF
World Junior Championship in Mar del Plata - Argentina 2009.
Juan Jose Martinez, 23 years with the number 770, won bronze in Category Matsogi (Combat) 63-71 kg
To be worthy of the medal, Martinez had to beat rivals to 3 different countries. His first opponent was the New
Zealand athlete Balgent with the number 481 which won so convincingly, his second opponent was the competitor Spand
of Romania with the number 606 and his third opponent was the number 296 Makinen of Finland.
We also congratulate all the athletes of Venezuela in the selection of individual adult male category and team,
Juan Jose Martinez, Juan Manuel Goncalves, Ilarraza Cesar Andres Tablante and Miguel Diaz and Young Men's team
single and team, Luis Caseiro, Luis Pina, Hector Rojas and David Araque and individual female athlete category
Haymar Tovar.
This success was possible thanks to the dedication of Sahyumnim Juan Martinez President of the National Taekwon-do
Venezuela and International Taekwon-do with Venezuela that the instructors Leoncio Hernandez and Isabel Lorenzo,
have worked hard with the National Team for the last several years. This is the precursor to the Copa Venezuela
which will be April 24, 2010, the Pan American silver-Argentina 2010 World Cup in Las Vegas, USA 2010.

El mundialista Caraqueño Juan José Martínez
le permitió a Venezuela conquistar su segunda medalla de los XVI Senior – X Junior ITF World Championship
en Mar del Plata – Argentina 2009.
Juan José Martínez de 23 años con el número 770, obtuvo bronce en la Categoría
Matsogi (Combate) 63-71 Kg.
Para hacerse merecedor de la presea, Martínez tuvo que vencer a 3 rivales de distintos países. Su
primer rival fue el atleta Balgent de Nueva Zelanda con el número 481 al cual venció de manera contundente,
su segundo rival fue el competidor Spand de Rumania con el número 606 y su tercer contrincante fue Makinen
con el número 296 de Finlandia.
Felicitamos también a todos los atletas de la selección de Venezuela en categoría Masculino
adulto individual y por equipo ; Juan José Martínez , Juan Manuel Goncalves, Cesar Ilarraza, Andrés
Tablante y Miguel Díaz y el equipo Masculino Juvenil individual y por equipo; Luis Caseiro, Luis Piña,
Héctor Rojas y David Araque y en categoría femenino individual la atleta Haymar Tovar.
Este éxito ha sido posible gracias a la dedicación del Sahyumnim Juan Martínez Presidente
del Centro Nacional de Taekwon-do Venezuela y Federación Internacional de Taekwon-do Venezuela que junto
con los instructores Leoncio Hernández e Isabel Lorenzo, han trabajado arduamente con la selección
Nacional desde hace varios años. Esta es la antesala para la Copa Venezuela que se llevará 24 de
Abril 2010, el Panamericano de la plata-Argentina 2010 y la Copa del Mundo en las Vegas-EEUU 2010. |
