Nepal ITF Celebrates 12th Anniversary
Blood Donation, Elder Feeding and Award Distribution Concluded
Nepal International Taekwon-Do Federation has celebrated its 12th Anniversary of establishment in Nepal with a
twelve day program. To make the anniversary remarkable,
in the first eight days a Black Belt Course was organized which was followed by the Blood Donation, then dinner
for elder citizens in the Elders Care Centre. On the final day, awards were distributed to the best players, instructor,
dojang and to honour the people who has been supporting Nepal ITF in its rapid development.
Two hundred and fifty Nepal ITF black belts from all over the country participated in the historic eight-day black
belt seminar. Chief Instructor Anju Nath Shrestha,Senior Instructor Chetan raj Giri and the Senior Instructor and
President of NITF Krishna Bahadur Balal conducted the Seminar which was held in Bulls Indoor Sports Hall, the Central
Dojang of Nepal ITF.
After the completion of the Seminar, Nepal ITF conducted the Blood Donation Program. This was done to give a positive
message to society that the martial artists have the kind heart and keen responsibility to the society. Nepal ITF
is one which believes in the importance of social work and has been conducting the blood donation program each
year since 2004 during the occasion of its anniversary celebration.
The blood donation
program was organized by the Red Cross Blood Bank. NITF President Krishna Bahadur Balal, Senior Instructor Chetan
Raj Giri, Vice President Anju Nath Shrestha, Secretary General Omkar Budha Magar, Members G.L. Chapain, Anju Rawat,
Anjan Dhamala, Tham Bahadur Bahik, Biswa Shrestha and other central members all donated blood to this program.
Players, Instructors and supporters also donated blood resulting in more than 50 pints collected. |

The next day was followed by the dinner program for the homeless elders who are
staying in the Elder Care Centre. The NITF president Krishna Bahadur Balal, Senior Vice President Kumar Thapa,
Vice president Chetan raj Giri and other officials served the dinner to the elders there. Nepal ITF has also been
feeding the senior citizen of Nepal in the Elder Care center since 2004.
In the closing day of the Anniversary, Nepal ITFannounced the best players, Instructor, Dojang and honours to the
supporters. The best player Male award has been awarded to Amir Mharjan where as in Female category Tulsi Thapa
Magar won the award. The award winner has been decided by the majority of the Instructors and officials evaluating
the performance on the last year. The Instructor of the Year has been awarded to Rewat Bahadur Rana of Palpa District
and the Association of the Year award has been provided to ITF Chitwan Association. During the ceremony, Appreciation
has been awarded to International Taekwon-Do Federation and the president Professor Dr. Ung Chang, ATF, Nepal Sports
Journalists Forum, Suryadal Gana of Nepal Army as well as other persons and institutions who have supported Nepal
ITF in the Taekwon-Do Development.

The Chief of the Department of Sports Development of National Sports Council Kamal Khanal and the president of
Nepal International Taekwon-Do Federation, Krishna Bahadur Balal presented the awards and honours.
